Be More Creative - 10 Tips To Help You Increase Your Creativity Today
Do you struggle to be as creative as you know you can be?

If so, here are 10 ways you can use to increase your creativity, starting today -
1. Pick one creative project to work on. Get focused on something that youre excited and passionate about. All your other projects and potential projects can wait, theyll still be there afterwards.
2. Be prepared to create. Have your creative workspace set up so you can go straight into creating as easily as possible. Dont put up any unnecessary obstacles, make it easy for yourself.
3. Believe youre creative. If you dont believe youre creative youll find it far more difficult to create. Ask yourself honestly what you believe about yourself and your creativity. If its not positive, take the time to start replacing those beliefs with ones that reflect the creative person you want to be.
4. Work for a minimum amount on your creative project EVERY DAY. 15 minutes is the bare minimum, 20 or 30 is better. Just go to your creative workspace at a set time each day, and create for 15 minutes on one project.
5. Get a creative buddy. Linking up with someone else at regular intervals, to share your progress and encourage and support each other, can be one of the most motivating and valuable things you can do for your creativity.
6. Minimise distractions. Find somewhere to create thats as undisturbed as possible. If there are other people around, politely ask that they leave you to create for a short period of time.
7. Acknowledge your progress. Its easy to create everyday for a month and still feel youve not created anything. Have a monthly check in with yourself to realise how much you actually have created and progressed. Youll be surprised.
8. Join a creative group or community. Sharing with other like minded creative people can help you be more creative no end. Find a group either locally or online that will meet your needs and suit you best.
9. Notice when you procrastinate. Everyone procrastinates to some extent. Be honest with yourself and identify the times and the ways you procrastinate to avoid creating. Then pick one procrastination technique and work on reducing it, then eliminating it completely.
10. Create what you enjoy creating! Creativity is supposed to be fun, so why slog away at something youre not enjoying or getting nothing from? Pick creative projects that make want to rush to get to work on them whenever you have a free moment.
Any one of these 10 tips will help you be more creative. Use two or more in combination and youll see even more powerful results.
